PIE FOR MY PI!!!

Monday Night [13th]: PIE!!!!
Study Break by my dorm house!
There were myriad pies of all shapes and colours and burns...
Oreo (3)
Coconut (2)
Chocolate (2)
Peach/mixed fruit (1 or 2)
Berry (2?)
Cherry (?)
Pumpkin (2)
Pecan (2)
Apple (?)
More? 18 total... x 12 slices each
And the coconut pie crust tasted like bacon. I am serious. I honestly doubt that they used lard, and the aluminium containers were new... so the crust really shouldn't've tasted like bacon.
Maybe, relative to the coconut and custard, the crust was bacon flavoured.
AND FUDGE! I didn't eat any cookies but the fudge... the chocolate fudge tasted a bit on the chocolate side rather than the soft, gooey side of fudge that I'm used to [I'm guessing there were no marshmallows in this batch]. The white fudge was literally gritty powdered sugar stacked into cubes. It was densely packed sweetness. Sort of like compact chunks of aspartame without the aftertaste [not that I would know, but they really don't give that much sweetener in those little packets, since each artificial sweetener is ~200? times sweeter than sucrose].
It's in a bucket.

BEST PIE EVER. I love chocolate pie. I actually also love key lime pie.
Actually, I like pie a lot more than I like cake, but cupcakes are much easier to draw.

I brought my coconut, cherry, chocolate, and fudge back to the computer lab because I had to study/write an 8-page final. The pies mixed together was... interesting. I liked the cherry chocolate combination.

Random Blahs.

I'm actually going to go out to dinner later, but I'm not going to be back in time to update... so tomorrow I shall update about that. Instead, I'm just going to post a few random pictures.
Whole wheat spaghetti soup with onions and garlic and green peppers. And tomato, of course. And clumps of Boca burger. I have officially finished cooking Boca burgers and I will never consume another Boca burger in my life. I am completely sick of them. I like plain tofu better. Or even plain chickpeas.
:)
I found some Airheads candy in the food drawer. From 2007. Or maybe it was 2006. I don't really know. So I unwrapped them all, rolled them into a tyre shape [hey, it fits the theme of Cars] and threw it into the garden. Now I have a nice piece of space in the drawer for other food!
Yup - the sesame chocolate cookies I made a few days ago... This time I microwaved them for 40 seconds, flipped each over, and microwaved them for another 17 seconds. My sister actually liked them! She said that they looked and sort of tasted like fudge. Which is great, since fudge is very much appreciated in the world. Which is why everyone says, "Oh. Fudge!" when something goes wrong, because, by calling fudge into the world, all problems shall disappear.

Ice Cream Cakes.

My sister's friend's parents [which, in other words, are my parents' friends, which, in other words, are my acquaintances and/or friends] own an ice cream store. They own the Carvel on Main Street in Madison. I did mention them before, when I had the chance of actually making stuff at the store for fun!!!!
Anyway, over the past two years, they've been giving us ice cream cakes for the usual American holidays. It's pretty cool, literally, for my sister because she adores vanilla ice cream. I personally am not as huge an ice cream fan as I am a cookie/cake/baked stuff/bread fan. So, it's awesome, yes, but not as amazing as if I got free baguettes every few months.
They gave me a graduation ice cream cake, though, so that was cool! I cut off my name, though, since there are the issues of spammers and stalkers and idiots who use the internet to my disadvantage, if I were to release my name to the world. So, in reality the cake looks better :)

And, the past.

Look at that texture! It's actually whipped cream.
Fudge topping. I approve. Usually, it's just a layer of vanilla and chocolate, with chocolate cookie/cone crumbs in between. Along with PHOs but I suppose these are sentimental exceptions, not that I consume much ice cream cake...
